This list really captures that autumn feeling beyond just spooky themes Night in the Woods and Wytchwood especially feel like they were made for a cosy October evening.
Oh this list is perfect! I’m always looking for games I can slow down with and relax rather than perform some high action sequence when all I want to do is chill with a cup of hot tea. Magical delicacy has that warm and cozy vibe im seeking. Thank you for sharing!
What an awesome themed list! A few on there I’ve never heard of before as well! I’m sitting here with my blanket and hot drink reading your article and definitly starting to get the cozy autumn vibes.
Also cult of the lamb is amazing and I love it a lot. ☺️
Ahhh I’m so obsessed with COTL at the moment… it is taking over my life 🤣 I bought Woolhaven this morning so that’s been a blast! Have you played the DLC?
Yessssssss!!! Welcome to the cult!!! I always think, "I'm just going to do one more run" but then I end up doing 5 runs and redecorating my entire village.
This is such a lovely article! You have also just reminded me that I have A Short Hike in my library and need to actually get around to playing it! Thank you so much for the shoutout as well!
I alternate some of my favorite seasonal games so that I won't get tired of them. Even though I don't play these every year, I would definitely recommend Costume Quest I & II.
Love this! Thank you for the mention ❤︎. I'll definitely be starting Beacon Pines and Night in the Woods this year! A cozy fall gaming night is needed after the year we've had lol
This was a fantastic idea for a article and I enjoyed the heck out of it. Also, thanks for the shout. Firewatch is definitely a perfect game! Can’t wait to jump in and play with everyone.
I'm going to replay Firewatch with GGL this month. You're not the first person to say it feels autumnal, I don't remember thinking that at the time I first played it - I think I took the hot summer setting quite literally. When I play it again, I'll see if I can see the themes you have described.
Great recommendations! I actually bought Magical Delicacy, and I can't wait to find time this long weekend to tuck right into it. :D Also definitely recommend A Short Hike, Firewatch, Cult of the Lamb, Beacon Pines (interesting that right when I saw the picture you included, my heart got tugged; I love the characters so much 😭🩶), and Life is Strange. Wonderful list, and I added some to my ever-growing list of games to play.
What a great list. I am looking forward to play each and every one of the recommendations!
Me too!! There’s so many I haven’t played!

Thank you for reading! And yes I agree, the recs I got were so great in variety 🍁

It’s a lovely one! Well, the demo was wonderful so I’m sure the full game will be even better! Hope you have a very cosy weekend ☕️🍂

I absolutely loved Beacon Pines. It definitely gives that autumn feel
It's such a fantastic game, and so different to everything else on the list! I really enjoyed the story :)
Ahhhh this is so awesome! Some great recommendations. I’ve been meaning to play Wytchwood, and now is the perfect time. 🧙♀️
Yes it is!! It's such a fun game. By the way, I am now completely obsessed with Cult of the Lamb and I can't stop 😬

Sigh… I’ve seen many of these, and even already have a couple of them. Now it’s just about finding the time to actually sit down and play 😅
Hahaha it's always the way... collecting games is a completely different hobby to actually playing the games 😂

I hope you enjoy playing it!! It's such a sweet and fun game, and perfect for September!

I’m still dying to get my hands on Witchbrook. If they don’t announce a release date soon, I’m going to snap
